A generator should only be used in a well ventilated area and never overloaded.
Electrical Monitoring and Protection
All Powerlite Generating Sets are designed so that the electrical power generation circuits are ‘self contained’ and isolated from the Generator frame. This is generally considered acceptable when the power tools, appliances and the Generating Set is in good and safe condition.
Where the environment or circumstances are not going to be ideal, or indeed as required by certain local Electricity Authorities, the Powerlite ‘Earth Leakage Output Kit’ should be considered.
This kit, complete with Connecting Cable with Clamp and Earth Stake, allows the Set to be directly connected to a waterpipe or the Earth Stake in the ground. In the event of the power tool or extension lead malfunctioning, the power can be quickly dissipated, and at the same time the inbuilt circuit breaker will trip, turning off the output supply.
